This 4-night, 5-day retreat is designed to balance rest, creativity, and immersive local experiences.
Participants may choose to arrive earlier or stay longer for an additional cost.
Day 1— Arrival & Grounding
ARRIVAL
Morning
Upon arrival at the historic Château de Balsac, you’ll be shown to your room and invited to settle in at your own pace. The château, thoughtfully restored with modern comforts, is set within a peaceful park with gardens, open green spaces, and gentle countryside views.
Afternoon
A light lunch prepared with local ingredients will be served. This is a relaxed moment to meet one another, review the week ahead, and gently arrive, without rush.
We gather for an opening circle to set intentions and create a shared sense of presence. allowing space for rest and personal journaling.
EVENING
The evening unfolds with a gentle yoga session with mediation, followed by an unhurried communal dinner.The night is kept quiet, allowing space for rest and personal journaling.
Day 2 — The World of Scent & Sound
MORNING
The day begins with gentle yoga, stretching, and breathwork, followed by a nourishing breakfast. The morning continues with a still-life drawing session, focusing on light, observation, and quiet attention.
AFTERNOON
After lunch and time to rest, we gather for an introductory aromatherapy workshop. Through guided sensory exploration, you’ll create your first personalized roll-on scent blend, working intuitively and without visual cues.
Later you’ll be invited into a deeply relaxing sound meditation led by local practitioners Nav and Marcelo. With backgrounds in sound therapy, yoga teaching, and healing massage, they tune into the energy of our small group and curate a truly one-of-a-kind experience offering a moment of nervous system reset and deep rest.
EVENING
Dinner is served in the château dining room, followed by a quiet evening dedicated to reflection, journaling, or early rest.
Day 3 — Market & Scent Distillery
MORNING
After morning yoga and breakfast, we travel to the Rodez farmers market, where you’ll explore local produce, pastries, coffee, and artisan shops, including oil and herbal boutiques.
Lunch is enjoyed at La Maison, a family-run restaurant in Rodez, with a daily-changing menu based on seasonal local ingredients.
AFTERNOON
After visiting the farmer’s market and enjoying lunch, we meet Laurence Marie, a local nature facilitator and art therapist, for a guided walk focused on identifying common wild edible plants.
Together, you’ll learn how to recognize and work with wild foods, followed by a shared dining prepared from the plants gathered during the walk.
EVENING
Return to the château for dinner and a gentle evening of rest, reflection, or journaling.
Day 4 — Water, Art & Flow
MORNING
Following yoga, stretching, and breakfast, we set out for an excursion to the Muret-le-Château waterfalls. Here, we practice a water sound meditation, followed by plein-air drawing and a picnic lunch surrounded by nature.
AFTERNOON
In the afternoon, we visit a nearby organic and biodynamic medicinal plant garden. Walking through its spiral garden, you’ll experience the scents and tastes of aromatic plants before learning about traditional distillation methods. You’ll explore hydrosols, herbal teas, infusions, and culinary specialties made on-site.
EVENING
Our final evening begins with a shared dinner, followed by a bonfire gathering outdoors — a space for music, reflection, laughter, and gentle celebration.
DAY 5 — Culture, Creation and Closure
MORNING /
After morning practice and breakfast, we travel to Belcastel, one of France’s Most Beautiful Villages. You’ll explore its medieval streets, riverside paths, and historic château, with time for sketching architectural details or the flowing landscape.
AFTERNOON
Lunch is enjoyed at the Michelin-starred Le Vieux Pont, before returning to the château to rest and pack for your departure.
